The primary function of the Solar Applications Engineer is to provide technical product applications support for the photovoltaic system solutions in addition to contributing to technical sales support.

Responsibilities will include:

• The Computer Aided design (CAD) of SRS & PV systems for configure to order system solutions
• Quality assurance of the system design software and resulting designs
• Review and writing of technical bulletins in regards to installation best practices, code related issues and manuals
• Research and updating of technical developments in the market, new investors, modules, etc
• Support trade show events

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• 3+ years experience in photovoltaic system design, permitting and installation
• An Engineering degree
• Experience with Auto CAD and MS Office
• Software programming and spreadsheet analysis
• Demonstrated technical writing skills within the PV industry

• BS degree in Engineering is required; MS degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience in solar energy, CIGS, sun-to-electricity conversion efficiency, solar photovoltaic (PV) cells, and Thin Film Technology.
• Candidates with CIGS publications or patents are a PLUS.
• Excellent leadership, presentation, oral, and written communication skills are required.
• Thorough knowledge of chemical, electrical, magnetic, material science, or mechanical concepts, techniques, and disciplines, including specialized knowledge in one of the previously outlined areas

Having recently set up a European base their operation has grown quickly and consequently this has lead to the need for an Electrical Engineer to join their Wind team in Hamburg.

The primary responsibility of this position is to successfully develop their first European off-shore project. Tasked with the design of wind turbine electrical system (generator, converter, transformer, etc.) and control systems you will be responsible for the coordination of component suppliers and managing bought in technical consultancy services.

You will be used to taking on high degree of responsibility and will be required to have an entrepreneurial attitude. As a degree qualified engineer your will be expected to have experience of either the Wind Industry or another renewable energy technology.
