With rapid expansion in the energy sector and an increasing demand for EIA and ESIA consultancy, a position in South England has arisen for a Project Manager with a proven environmental consultancy background in oil, gas or thermal power.

As Project Manager you will manage environmental and social impact assessments for multiple energy projects in the UK and abroad, and will lead a geographical project team consisting of internal consultants and external sub contractors.

Key responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Developing geographically dispersed EIA/ESIA project teams

A high profile clean technology provider who design, build, and operate anaerobic digestion facilities, is under going a major growth phase to include the recruitment of an Electrical Design Engineer.

This is a critical role for the organisation’s continued development and the successful candidate will act as a centre of knowledge both internally and for sub contractors. Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • The production of electrical drawings including single line drawing, cable schedule and termination schedules, and cable routing drawing
  • Preparing technical specification for electrical installation contractor
  • Providing advice on CHP/HV connection, liaising with specialist contractors and producing the design for the control panel
  • Preparing technical specification for electrical installation contractor
  • Providing a front line trouble shooting service for electrical related issues
  • Liaising with commissioning engineers during pre-commissioning and commissioning of the project

This role requires a wide range of skills and experience, essential requirements include:

  • Fully conversant with all forms of electrical engineering documentation

Electrical Engineer – Wind Turbine Development

Germany - Hamburg | €50k - €60k

Our client is a supplier of power generation technologies. From novel gas turbines through to renewable energy solutions their global operation is recognised as one of the industry leaders in the provision of commercial and industrial power systems.

Having recently set up a European base their operation has grown quickly and consequently this has lead to the need for an Electrical Engineer to join their Wind team in Hamburg.

The primary responsibility of this position is to successfully develop their first European off-shore project. Tasked with the design of wind turbine electrical system (generator, converter, transformer, etc.) and control systems you will be responsible for the coordination of component suppliers and managing bought in technical consultancy services.

You will be used to taking on high degree of responsibility and will be required to have an entrepreneurial attitude. As a degree qualified engineer your will be expected to have experience of either the Wind Industry or another renewable energy technology.
