Civil/Geotechnical Engineer

UK - Kent (with UK and international travel) | Circa £30,000 plus benefits

Due to increased project design requirements, my Client requires an individual to join a small team of engineering staff. The organization is listed in the FTSE 100 and employs in excess of 20,000 people globally. It is a multi disciplinary company offering the opportunity to be involved in exciting projects worldwide.

The ideal Candidate will be experienced working in Consultancy with a solid understanding of and experience in:

  • Embankment design and associated civil design elements
  • Geotechnical design
  • Feasibility studies
  • Site experience

Educated to degree level in civil engineering with a higher degree in geotechnics the successful Candidate will have:

  • Experience of the mining industry
  • Knowledge of tailing dam design

Our client is now seeking an entrepreneurial senior figure within health and safety consultancy to drive forward this initiative.

The role will initially involve conducting feasibility studies and business planning over a six month period; mapping out the progression of the business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Networking within the organisation to asses where potential opportunities can be exploited
  • Mapping the market for potential acquisition opportunities
  • Assessing the current conditions and evaluating the fastest route to market
  • Utilising existing client networks to win and begin delivery of initial projects

This position is a unique opportunity to launch and build an international health and safety consultancy from the ground up; the successful candidate will have:

  • Senior leadership experience within an health and safety consultancy

Statistician

UK - Berkshire | £25,000-£35,000

An international agribusiness committed to the long term sustainability of agriculture, is looking for a statistician to join one of their research groups. Central to addressing some of the planet’s most critical environmental issues, this group plays a central part in improving the health and wellbeing of communities all around the world.

Working on internal and external projects, this position will be responsible for planning, conducting and reporting statistical analysis for lab and field work. The key responsibilities will be:
