Business Development Manager - Fashion / Textiles Supply Chain – 6 month Fixed Term Contract
UK - London | £35K – pro rata
A passionate development organisation, looking to improve company supply chain and trading ethics, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their textiles / fashion team, to work with existing clients as well as opening up new business opportunities.
The successful candidate will liaise with producers and supply chain managers to identify and resolve barriers to the development of products in accordance with licensing systems and procedures. You will:
- Ensure that detailed and comprehensive product information is available, including market information on licensees, information on producers as well as the volume, value and impact of their sales
- Identify and progress opportunities for increasing existing retailers
- Encourage communications with commercial partners by providing input into the planning and delivery of printed materials, newsletter and bulletins, licensee meetings and trade shows
- Agree project objectives and targets and produce evaluation reports with the Head of Business Development
The successful individual will be able to demonstrate a track record in business-to-business sales, account management and relationship management, ideally within the fashion or textiles industry. You will also have strong communication, problem solving and presentation skills. Spanish language skills would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will be responsible for the Management of implementation of the groups CR strategy across all of its US banners. This will involve:
- Tracking and reporting on metrics and milestones.
- Evaluating trends in metrics, providing feedback to program owners.
- Management of CR staff.
- Perform the role of CR expert on Group-wide synergy teams to advance global CR goals
- Staying ahead of CR trends; making recommendations for innovative solutions as needed to build environmental and social performance
- Providing direction on CR-related issues for senior leadership teams
You will also have direct responsibility for:
- Company representation with external stakeholders
- Document financial impact of all CR programmes at all US operation companies
- Working on initiatives such as: Carbon Foot printing, Responsible sourcing, private label packaging changes etc
- Managing the process for external CR awards and certifications
Your background will consist of:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Management or similar
- 5 years + working in a CR leadership role
- Strong exposure and working relationships with CR NGO’s
- Proven track record of CR Implementation and development
- Ability to collaborate and influence in a matrix driven environment
