Recruitment Consultant – Contract Division
UK - London | £ dependent on experience

We are now looking to hire a contract recruitment specialist to help expand our contractor and interim management offering. You will be joining us at an early stage within this particular business stream, and will play a fundamental role in developing Acre’s contractor services offering.
Within this role you will:
- Work proactively to develop business with new and existing clients
- Network and source suitable candidates
- Attend regular client meetings
- Contribute to Acre’s brand and reputation
You will:
- Be entrepreneurial and hands on
- Have extensive experience in interim or contract recruitment
- Have expertise in current UK legislation in relation to non-permanent recruitment
- Have an in-depth understanding of administrating non-permanent assignments
- Have an interest or passion for sustainability, and climate and energy issues (although a background is not essential)

Our award winning Client is the leading international charity in their sector. Their goal is to put animal welfare at the heart of the commercial sustainable food supply chain. They are recognised as the credible partner on all animal welfare standards and policies to the major food retailers, food service companies and manufacturers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Defining and implementing strategies to encourage the integration of animal welfare concerns into Germany’s food businesses’ supply chains
- Establishing and developing networks and partnerships with food companies and retailers in Germany
- Delivering higher farm animal welfare standards and food choices within food businesses and the wider market
The right Candidate will have a track record of building strong commercial relationships and be approachable, adaptable and have a positive disposition that inspires confidence.
Skills and experienced required:
- Client relationship management
- Highly developed communication skills
- Marketing and/or sales expertise
- The ability to deliver a compelling case and engage with clients
- Experience or exposure to farm animal welfare policies and practice
The Client Account Manager must speak fluent German and will ideally have experience in or exposure to managing a sustainability or corporate responsibility programme within the retail and, food or ethical supply chain sector, or a strong track record of managing NGO programmes and campaigns to commercial organisations. Experience or understanding of farm animal welfare polices and practice will be highly beneficial.

Working with the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability team, you will deliver strong, focused and creative strategies that tackle complex sustainability issues. Requirements for this position include:
- Proven experience of running cross functional marketing campaigns
- High level of expertise in running advocacy campaigns, either in a company or an NGO

- High level strategic planning around sustainability issues in a large scale organization; including waste, carbon reduction, supply chain and community investment
- Previous senior team management experience

Working with the Global Sustainability Director this role has responsibility for integrating sustainability into the organisation’s operations and managing the delivery of 2010 commitments and create an ongoing innovative strategy.
The Global Sustainability Manager will be a key point of expertise within the business. Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Managing the cross functional sustainability team; coordinating the range of projects and tracking progress to ensure delivery of social and environmental commitments
- Developing organisational knowledge of key sustainability agendas including recycling technology, supply chain and climate change legislation
- Presenting at external events to publicise the brand’s sustainability position
- Working with marketing and regulatory affairs to guide brand sustainability plans and positioning
With a passion for sustainability, the Global Sustainability Manager will have the ability to influence and interact with senior management, with previous and demonstrable experience of leading change within a large, organisation and ideally on an international basis.
Knowledge, skills and experience required include:

- Working with stakeholders to identify emerging labour issues, and develop solutions
- Providing the business with information regarding ethical trading in the region, including case studies and information relating to NGO or media campaigns
The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication, influencing and crisis management skills. They will work with different stakeholders across departments to drive the organisation's ethical trading agenda in the region, exploring root causes to issues, developing solutions, and mobilising others to deliver results.
