Working on long term contracts, you will be meeting and advising clients within the public and private sector, providing a full range of ecology services including Phase 1 surveys. Your responsibilities include:
- Financial management of projects
- Tracking planning legislation and policy changes
- Assisting in the production of tenders and reports
You will ideally have a degree (or equivalent) in Ecology or a related field and will possess a Great Crested Newt Licence. A Natural England bat license would be highly desirable but not essential. You will also have:
- Strong experience and expertise in either botany and/or ornithology

Joining an established scientific group, you will be working closely with international regulators and research bodies, providing expertise on regulatory guidelines for plant and livestock metabolism studies.
You will be responsible for:
- Representing the department on integrated metabolism projects
- Advising the department on regulatory changes by attending cross industry working groups and method development meetings
- Working with external suppliers ensuring Syngenta’s needs are addressed
- Exploit collaborative project opportunities by building effective scientific relationships with internal and external groups
You will ideally have a Degree or PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Although experience in project management and project leadership is desirable, strong scientific knowledge of the area is more important than previous management experience.
