Human Health Risk Assessor
UK - Berkshire | £50k + Benefits
Our client, one of the world’s leading agrochemical companies is now looking to take on a Human Health Risk Assessor.
The purpose of this position is to provide specialist technical expertise on the human risks arising from the use of their products. In particular to evaluate the safety of products that have an element of human contact throughout their lifecycle.
Key to this role is the development of new risk assessment science in Product Safety through the use of networks with other parts of the company, industry and academia. These contacts should be used to develop novel approaches to problem solving.
The successful candidate will also be comfortable with representing the company in discussion with external regulatory agencies, advocating the science that is used.
As an established professional within human risk assessment, either in the agrochemical sector or in an industry where human risk assessment is an essential part of the ability to register and or sell products e.g. cosmetics, materials protection, household chemicals, you will have a proven track record of solving difficult and complex technical problems through sound science and logic.
Being a highly visible member of the team those with management experience would be of particular interest.

ApplyToxicological Pathologist
UK - South East England | £ Dependent on Experience
A global organisation, renowned for their work in the chemical and environmental industry has retained Acre in the search for a Pathologist to join their R&D and Product Safety Group.
Providing technical expertise in the areas of toxicology, you will be working with third party groups in designing, conducting and managing studies to support regulatory submissions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing desk based studies to support new product registration
- Presenting on behalf of the group and wider business at external events and conferences
- Influencing the development of technical and techno-regulatory strategies
You will be a Veterinarian with a higher degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline. You will have experience in toxicological pathology, ideally in relation to regulatory studies and/or discovery.
Skills and experience required include:
- The ability to lead teams in the identification and design of studies
- Expertise to interpret the implication Xenobiotics have in product design and selection.
- Expertise in analysing complex data across individual and multiple studies
- A constant understanding of the latest scientific technologies
