Environmental Consultant

UK - East Anglia | £25,000 - £35,000

A leading multidisciplinary environmental consultancy is looking to hire a consultant to join their planning department. Working on projects across the UK, you will be joining an established organisation which has a strong reputation in ecology, landscape architecture and arboriculture.

Focusing on planning projects you will be:

  • Managing a team of consultants within the planning department
  • Carrying out habitat surveying, species identification and hazard assessment
  • Conducting arboriculture surveying work
  • Managing multiple projects across the UK at any one time

You will ideally have a degree (or equivalent) in a related environmental discipline and will be a member of a professional body.

You will be commercially focused and will have:

  • Extensive ecology experience with licenses in Bats and Badgers
  • Proven skills in managing large scale multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of arboriculture, and experience in planning principles

Toxicological Pathologist

UK - South East England | £ Dependent on Experience

A global organisation, renowned for their work in the chemical and environmental industry has retained Acre in the search for a Pathologist to join their R&D and Product Safety Group.

Providing technical expertise in the areas of toxicology, you will be working with third party groups in designing, conducting and managing studies to support regulatory submissions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing desk based studies to support new product registration
  • Presenting on behalf of the group and wider business at external events and conferences
  • Influencing the development of technical and techno-regulatory strategies

You will be a Veterinarian with a higher degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline. You will have experience in toxicological pathology, ideally in relation to regulatory studies and/or discovery.

Skills and experience required include:

  • The ability to lead teams in the identification and design of studies
  • Expertise to interpret the implication Xenobiotics have in product design and selection.
  • Expertise in analysing complex data across individual and multiple studies
  • A constant understanding of the latest scientific technologies

Head of Environmental Consultancy

UK based | Six Figure Salary

A UK PLC with over 120,000 current business customers and a turnover in excess of £300 million is currently embarking upon a major expansion project. Their goal is to become the global leader in environmental consultancy. This fully funded venture has board backing and is seen as the next step in the evolution of the organisation to be a true service provider.

Our client is now seeking an entrepreneurial senior figure within environmental consultancy to drive forward this initiative.

The role will initially involve conducting feasibility studies and business planning over a six month period; mapping out the progression of the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Networking within the organisation to asses where potential opportunities can be exploited
  • Mapping the market for potential acquisition opportunities
  • Assessing the current conditions and evaluating the fastest route to market
  • Utilising existing client networks to win and begin delivery of initial projects

This position is a unique opportunity to launch and build an international environmental consultancy from the ground up; the successful candidate will have:

  • Senior leadership experience within a environmental consultancy
  • Commercial skills with an entrepreneurial flair to identify and take advantage of opportunities
  • A large client base at senior level ideally connected to the construction or infrastructure sector
  • A proven technical background within an environmental discipline

An acquisitions or start up background will be beneficial.

This will be a demanding role, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think on your feet is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to logically explain positions and decisions throughout the contract.

Statistician

UK - Berkshire | £25,000-£35,000
