Assistant Programme Manager – 6 month Fixed Term Contract

UK - London | £30,000 pro rata

A unique opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Programme Manager to join a well respected Energy consultancy working within the Fleet Advice Team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This is an integral role within a team of 6, where you will deliver fleet and transport advice to enable the development of a sustainable fleet management practice. You will work on multiple projects within the team, monitor progress and be pivotal to the delivery of the programmes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Drive programme targets and ensure efficient and effective impact of activities
  • Ensure the administrative and delivery functions of the team run effectively and programme targets are met
  • Lead responsibility for generating sales, including identifying clients and organising advice workshops to meet their collective needs
  • Develop existing and / or new systems for managing programme data and processes for elements of the programme or new initiatives

You will be a commercially focussed and driven individual, who is able to work efficiently to deadlines and targets, with a good grasp of business drivers and priorities. Relevant fleet and environment / climate change issues is desirable (not essential), along with project / programme delivery and experience in a sales or business development field. This role demands excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as an analytical mindset and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.

Utilities Data Management – 6 month contract

UK - London | £13 - 17 per hour

A unique opportunity has arisen within the energy team of a major UK organisation for a Data Administration Manager, to be based in central London.

Working within the energy team, the successful candidate will be working on various projects to cleanse and ensure data quality. You will be using excel and an energy CRM system to analyse data and produce reports.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders and service delivery partners
  • Extracting, manipulating and analysing data from, and importing data into, internal systems including the CRM system
  • Maintaining data quality, transmission files and reporting systems

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven data management, manipulation and analysis skills
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, including strong interpersonal abilities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong technical exposure within using spreadsheets and relational databases
  • Experience working as part of a team, with tight reporting deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent energy systems knowledge, perhaps from having worked in an energy / utilities / oil company

This is a 6 month role, with a potential opportunity to go permanent in 2011.

The position holder will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of this new regional unit ensuring the delivery of a long-term profitable business.

  • Managing P&L, and ensuring a profitable activity and adaptation to the market.

It is critical for the candidate to have developed and acquired sound experience in project management, especially in the field of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and to have a chemical engineering background.

The ideal candidate will have gained international experience and will hold a proven track record in successful business start-up.

Fluency in English (to business level) is mandatory and the knowledge of Chinese would be a real asset.
