Key Account Manager – Waste / Environmental
UK - Midlands / North West | OTE £40,000 + excellent benefits
An innovative and renowned Facilities Management Company is currently recruiting a Key Account Manager. Providing a broad spectrum of service and facilities management capabilities to a wide client base, this organisation is one of the most well known in the UK.
This role is critical in the continued challenge to stay ahead of the competition.
The role will predominantly involve managing existing accounts; however there will be an element of new business development.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Managing and developing the relationship with clients ensuring smooth delivery of service solution
- Continually identifying and creating innovative ideas to increase revenue within contracts
- Identifying new potential opportunities in the market and developing a strategy to take advantage of these
- Utilising internal networking opportunities to create and develop tailor made solutions combining a range of services for clients
Essential requirements:
- A proven track record in the management of accounts of £250K and above
- An ability to develop relationships within the board room of blue chip companies or shop floor
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
- A background of creating, selling, and managing complex proposals
Knowledge of a broad range of environmental concepts including waste, energy, environmental compliance and management, and accompanying legislation is an advantage.
This role will involve communicating complex ideas to non technical people, strong communication skills are essential.

As Project Coordinator you will be working as part of the Sustainable Business Team to advise organisations in the areas of waste, energy, transport, and water. You will demonstrate a background in Sustainability with the ability to work directly with clients.
Other responsibilities will include:

- Gathering primary data including employee surveys and site audits

Demonstrating a strong understanding of utility operations, you will have experience of organizational transformation and process improvement.
