A number of surveys have been undertaken in the past few years which, in their entirety, cover some of the issues raised here. However, in general, these have been open to all those who consider themselves as 'CSR professionals' while the diverse nature of the subject matter has prevented, until now, the development of a single, comprehensive set of findings that provide authoritative answers to the questions outlined above. To ensure the credibility of the results, this survey has clearly defined boundaries - especially in relation to the participants.
To ensure useful, repeatable data is collected, the survey will concentrate on the following :-
N.B. Though there are many terms currently used for "Corporate Social Responsibility" (including Corporate Responsibility, Social Responsibility etc) for the purposes of this survey, and for continuity, we use the term "CSR", in reference to all the above.
