Project Coordinator – Sustainable Business Advisor
UK - London | £18k - £24k
Our client, a London based energy and environmental consultancy, is looking to hire a Project Coordinator to support their Sustainable Business Team. The company is well-established in London, primarily working with local governments, small and medium businesses, and housing associations.
As Project Coordinator you will be working as part of the Sustainable Business Team to advise organisations in the areas of waste, energy, transport, and water. You will demonstrate a background in Sustainability with the ability to work directly with clients.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients including local authorities and regional governments
- Gathering primary data including employee surveys and site audits
- Producing reports, including recommendations for organizations
- Engaging clients and promoting sustainable behaviour with employees
In addition to a relevant Bachelor’s degree, you will have experience in a client facing role (ideally within a consulting firm) and will have experience with sustainability practices.

Our client, a global facilities management and energy services provider is looking for a Project Development Engineer.
As a Project Development Engineer you will be responsible for designing solutions, building a detailed estimate of cost and scope of projects. Having demonstrable experience performing detailed engineering and financial analysis to quantify cost savings, you will participate in a cross-functional team both pre and post-sale.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Technical and financial benchmarking; developing client baselines
- Performing on-site data collection to assist in designing solutions
- Liaising with technical buyers and operations team to ensure project scope, time-lines and client objectives are understood.
- Providing risk analysis for the solutions proposed
With a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) candidates will have proven experience designing building systems and/or facility management.

The company is in its third decade of operation and has a fully integrated approach; they can offer start-to-finish or bespoke piecemeal solutions advising their clients in managing their energy needs.
As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for establishing yourself in the market and building your own pipeline of sales. You will demonstrate excellent experience in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, managing complex, high value sales cycles, and have proven success in meeting and exceeding targets.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, you will be required to work autonomously and will thrive on this challenge to create a sales strategy, establish targets and build your own pipeline of business.

The ability to identify and proactively approach organisations across a wide variety of sectors will be of paramount importance in your role as Senior Manager.
In addition you will be expected to:
- Manage complex project deliveries and cross functional teams
- Be a subject matter expert, providing support and direction to several teams

- Develop assets and functional tools to support sustainability services

Acre is currently working with a company whose sole purpose is to work with their clients to achieve sustainability through energy efficiency, low carbon solutions and process improvements, and offer an integrated solution to carbon management.
Our client is currently looking for a Project Manager to work within a new business unit delivering solutions on large, commercial scale projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects preferably within the sustainability or built environment sectors. Further to this they will:
- Project manage sub contractors on large scale energy efficiency and generation projects and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Engage in commercial activities including building relationships and networking with clients, presenting proposals, and assisting to close the sale
- Monitor and report on project progress, managing any issues that may arise and compiling financial and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Passionate about the environment and with a background in project management, the successful candidate will preferably:
- Hold a relevant degree (or equivalent) in the environmental or built environment sector
- Be a qualified Prince 2 Practitioner (or similar qualification)
- Have demonstrable experience in undertaking business development or other commercial negotiations
The successful candidate will have an understanding of legislation affecting sustainability within the built environment and have a true interest in low carbon and energy efficiency solutions.

My client, a leader within the energy price comparison and switching services, is looking for a Product and Commercial Manager to expand their business.
The business currently offers energy and gas price solutions and is looking to further their offering to their customers with a comprehensive energy efficiency comparison service.
To drive this move, they are looking for a commercial and entrepreneurial individual to bring their marketing strategy and product development experience, ideally developed within a utility, retail or FMCG company, to the role.
With responsibility for creating product strategy, the candidate will need:
- An understanding of market trends and customer requirements (particularly SME’s), new service/product development, demonstrable ability in creating marketing propositions and taking a service/product to market
- A passion for the green space, but more importantly, an understanding of the business opportunities that this can create
- An ability to create partnerships within the energy efficiency space
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of marketing/brand management/category management/commercial management that focuses on SME’s as a customer and/or bring their partnership management and marketing expertise from within the energy efficiency space.
This is an ideal role for someone who is commercially minded, entrepreneurial and looking to make a difference and develop within this green growth market. This role, reporting into the Head of Marketing, will provide a platform for growth and an opportunity to take ownership of a key section of the business.
